• Phil has worked in the mortuary at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust for 20 years. He passed the certificate and diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology. For the last 11 years Phil has been the manager of the mortuary and in the last 4 years his role expanded to manager of Mortuary and Bereavement Services for the Trust.
  
  Phil is designated under the Human Tissue Act to ensure that all licensable activities are carried out within the scope of the Human Tissue Act. He is also the designated mortuary manager and designated individual under the Human Tissue Act for the Bedfordshire Temporary Mortuary if there is a major disaster with mass fatalities.
